Course Overview

The developments in the field of Information Communication Technology are having profound influence on all walks of the life. The achievements in this sector have made our Country in general and Karnataka in particular proud. Information Technology sector offers largest opportunities both in terms of employment and entrepreneurship. The latest NASSCOM survey projects millions of jobs in the field of Information Technology and IT enabled service industries. The projected gap between demand and supply of manpower in this sector is only going to increase as per the studies of NASSCOM.


To cater to the growing demand of the IT and ITES industry for knowledge workers several educational initiatives are taken up by industry as well as universities. Formal degree from recognized Universities and institutions are the credible requirements for the entry into industry.


PGDCA one year(two semester)post graduate degree programme recognized by Karnataka University, Dharwad. It has the syllabus framed to aspiring youth to be competent professionals for rewarding career in the field of information technology. The college has state of art computing facilities including LAN and internet and has a team of qualified and experienced teaching faculties & has well equipped computer lab with latest software like Python packages, Oracle DBMS package, Java IDE, DTP package, C, C++, VB, Win-NT, Latest Windows based OS and MS Office, MS Visual Studio packages, Tally accounting packages etc.


Duration of the Programme

  • The durationof PGDCA is of one academic year.
  • The academic year shall be divided into two semesters.
  • Each semester will consist of 120 working days.
